Oakland County issued the following announcement on Dec. 30.
It’s time again to preview the 13th annual Fire & Ice Festival in Rochester, Oakland County’s popular winter-themed quality of life event which takes place January 17-19. County Executive David Coulter, Vibe Credit Union President Allan McMorris, and the Fire & Ice Festival Committee and its community partners will host a news conference to announce that the Fire & Ice Festival will be the first event of the year to mark Oakland County’s bicentennial. As always, the weekend of fun will include fireworks, the Big, Bright Light Show, ice sculptures in Downtown Rochester, TasteFest, ice skating, tube sledding, dog sled rides, pet adoption tent, and much, much more. Thanks to event sponsors, admission is free.
