GSEA is the premier global competition for students who own and operate a business. Nominees compete against their peers from around the world in a series of local and national competitions in hopes to qualify for the GSEA Global Finals.
GSEA supports student entrepreneurs who require much-needed mentorship, recognition, and connections to take their businesses to the next level of success. High school and college students are welcome to apply and complete to earn seed money to launch or grow their entrepreneurial venture.
“We are thrilled to be hosting this incredible event at Walsh College and can’t wait to welcome aspiring student entrepreneurs as they compete in this startup pitch event. Walsh College’s entrepreneurial history and energy, as well as its first-class conference facilities make it the ideal location for our 2023 GSEA competition,” said Jenny Feterovich, EO Detroit President.
“We are so excited to host the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards on our beautiful campus,” said Suzy Siegle, Walsh College’s President and CEO. “As an official Strategic Alliance Partner, we’ve developed a strong and collaborative relationship with EO, and its vision aligns well with our entrepreneurial spirit and educational mission. Walsh College is the best business and technology college in the world and we are honored to partner with EO and host this global student competition,” Siegle said.
Siegle initially connected with EO Detroit GSEA Board Chair, Carrie Schochet, Founder and CEO of Purple Squirrel Advisors, and the two discussed hosting the event at Walsh College. “After seeing the campus, it was clear Walsh would be the ideal location for this event,” Schochet said.
