CPD provides comprehensive and proactive police training covering all aspects of modern policing. The salary range is $48,993-$73,249. Full salary is achieved at the end of 48 months of employment. The opportunity to lateral at $55,051 with at least 2 years full-time police experience.

To be appointed to the Clawson police Department, the City of Clawson has the following requirements:
⦁ You must be a U.S. Citizen
⦁ You must have been a Michigan resident for one full year immediately preceding the filing date of your statement
⦁ You most possess visual acuity correctable to 20/20
⦁ You must not have any Felony convictions
⦁ You must possess an AA degree or equivalent number of academic hours
⦁ You must possess a valid Michigan driver’s license
⦁ You must be certifiable by MCOLES to be a Michigan Police Officer or enrolled in a police academy (Possible sponsorship opportunities available)
⦁ You must pass the background investigation
