City of Berkley issued the following announcement on Jan. 14.
We have been informed by our Public Works (DPW) that there is a water main break on Wakefield Rd. near Webster Rd. Similar to the previous main break on 11 Mile & Ellwood, DPW staff will be starting repair work as soon as the third-party utility locating has been completed.
Once repairs have started, DPW anticipates residents on Wakefield Rd. from Edwards Ave. to Webster Rd. will have service disruptions. Typical repair times are around 3 - 5 hours once the other utilities have been marked. There is no boil advisory.
Residents in the surrounding area may experience discolored water during and for several hours after the repair has been completed.
