Walk in the Thanksgiving Day Parade with members from Project Upward Bound on November 25th!YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN TRANSPORTATION
Volunteer Job Description:
Banner Carrier - Carry on and be the first to introduce your assigned unit to the Parade route! You will lead the way for your unit with sponsor provided signage. Smile and wave as you carry your banner down the route. You will also work with the Super Marshals and help with pacing of the Parade. This position reports to the Banner Carrier Captain.
Age Requirements: Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age. All volunteers must complete, sign and return the attached waiver. Volunteers who are 16 & 17 must have a parent/guardian sign it as well. Volunteers 18+ can sign alone. Your form submission will not be approved until we receive your completed waiver.
All Parade Positions Will Be Outdoors
Attendance at the Volunteer Zoom Q & A Orientation Meeting
Q&A Zoom Meeting will be virtual and offered at 6 PM on Nov. 15 and Noon on Nov. 16 (You only need to attend one)
The Zoom Meeting link will be sent to you, along with an Orientation video in mid- November
Banner Carriers wear a Costume during the Parade.
Volunteers will pick up Costumes via Drive-Through @ The Parade Company Studio
(Drive-Through dates and details will be sent to participants in the coming weeks)
Volunteers will take the costumes home, come to the Parade with it on and then drop it back off to the studio within a week after the Parade.
Participants must have the ability to walk one mile.
You must have the ability to be outside, standing, walking, in the elements (cold, rain, snow, sunshine) for an extended period of time.
A chaperone must accompany students who are minors (age 16 or 17) on Parade morning and help escort them to their assigned units.
