City of Farmington issued the following announcement on July 15.
The Cities of Farmington Hills and Farmington are working with SiFi Networks to engineer and construct a community-wide fiber-optic broadband network.
The project will bring more than $150 million in private investment to construct, operate, and maintain a 680-mile network of internet infrastructure. Built at no cost to taxpayers, this partnership with SiFi creates a broadband network with state-of-the-art fiberoptic technology that will provide reliability, the ability to implement smart city applications, and high-speed internet options for residents and businesses.
