Farmington Hills and Farmington Becoming Fibercities

Internet

City of Farmington issued the following announcement on July 15.

The Cities of Farmington Hills and Farmington are working with SiFi Networks to engineer and construct a community-wide fiber-optic broadband network.

The project will bring more than $150 million in private investment to construct, operate, and maintain a 680-mile network of internet infrastructure. Built at no cost to taxpayers, this partnership with SiFi creates a broadband network with state-of-the-art fiberoptic technology that will provide reliability, the ability to implement smart city applications, and high-speed internet options for residents and businesses. More information on this exciting partnership will be forthcoming.
