WATERFORD TOWNSHIP PUBLIC LIBRARY: What it takes to be racially literate

Webp meeting372

Waterford Township Public Library issued the following announcement on June 10.

In this TED talk, Priya Vulchi and Winona Guo identify two gaps in our racial literacy - the Heart Gap and the Mind Gap. Public libraries have many resources that can help fill those gaps. We've just added the book that these two young women wrote after traveling around the country listening to people's experiences with race and identity. The book, Tell Me Who You Are, is now available to download as eBook and audio from Overdrive. Both Overdrive and Hoopla have featured sections on race and racism.
