Township of Waterford issued the following announcement on June 4.
The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) has closed the eastbound right two turn lanes on Elizabeth Lake Road to eastbound M-59 in Waterford Township due to a possible sinkhole that is undermining the pavement.
Motorists will still be able to make a right turn from Elizabeth Lake Road to M-59 by utilizing the right (outside) through lane.
It is unknown how long the lane closures will last.
