Waterford Township issued the following announcement on Feb. 25.
The Waterford Police Department is inviting all Waterford Residents and/or Waterford business owners to join your police department team for one night a week, for eight weeks from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, beginning Wednesday, March 4, 2020.
We offer an educational hands-on forum for learning the components that make up your police force. Test your skills on the gun range and learn precision driving skills from inside a patrol vehicle. Experience first-hand what an officer sees, hears and is trained to do under a variety of circumstances.
Applications can be picked up at the Waterford Police Department or by clicking on the link on this page. All applications need to be returned to the Waterford Police Department, Attention: Administrative Sgt. Will Dolehanty, by February 17, 2020.
