Oakland Schools issued the following announcement on Sept. 27.
NCSSFL-ACTFL released the revised Can-Do Statements in 2017. This updated resource reflects many changes including a NEW component dealing with the intersection of culture and language proficiency.
In this half-day workshop, the presenters will unpack the new Can-Dos. Participants will take a deep dive into reviewing the new Statements, comparing them to the original Statements and begin to apply them in their classes. It is helpful if participants have a good understanding of proficiency.
World language teachers, department heads and administrators should attend this workshop. Districts are encouraged to send teams. Individuals/Teams may register for either a MORNING or AFTERNOON Session. Space is limited so register early!
Please bring a device. Some laptops will be available at the workshop.
