City of Southfield issued the following announcement on July 14.

The Sports Arena Pool is at the Southfield Municipal Campus is now open for the season! The following activities and times begin this week; however, they are subject to changes and/or cancellation due to inclement weather or staffing issues. Please monitor the City’s website or the Parks and Recreation Facebook page for any updates. Residents (and non-residents at a higher rate) may register online for Thursday and Saturday Open Swim sessions using the link below or by calling the Southfield Sports Arena at (248) 796-4640.

WATER AEROBICS *1-hour class sessions*
($2 Resident, $3 Non-Resident per session)
    • Monday: Session 1: 11 am, Session 2: Noon, Session 3: 6 pm
    • Wednesday: Session 1: 11 am, Session 2: Noon, Session 3: 6 pm
    • Saturday: Session 1: 9:30 am, Session 2: 10:30 am
Sessions are drop in and limited to the first 40 participants to register for each session. Please bring your own floatation equipment, a noodle and/or kick board.

LAP SWIM
($2 Resident, $3 Non-Resident)
    • Tuesday: 11 am – 1 pm

OPEN SWIM *Sold in individual sessions*
($3 Resident, $4 Non-Resident)
    • Monday:    3 – 5 pm
    • Tuesday:     3 – 5 pm
    • Wednesday:    3 – 5 pm
    • Thursday:    Session 1: 3:15 – 5:30 pm, Session 2: 5:45 – 8 pm
    • Saturday:    Session 1: Noon – 2:15 pm, Session 2: 2:30 – 4:45 pm, Session 3: 5 – 7:15 pm
