State Representative Mike Harris, R-Waterford, attended the opening session of the Michigan House of Representatives on January 8, 2025. Accompanied by two of his daughters, Katelyn and Allison Harris, he participated in the session held at the Michigan State Capitol. Harris has been serving as a state representative since May 2022 and is now starting his second full term.

Harris, who previously worked as a police sergeant, represents Waterford and its surrounding areas. He began his new term on January 1 amidst a newly established Republican majority in the House. Alongside his legislative duties, Harris is also a family man with six children with his wife Jennifer.
