Cost increases for all students attending Port Huron Cosmetology College in 2022-23 school year

For the 2022-23 school year, tuition at Port Huron Cosmetology College rose by 6.4%, according to the latest figures, according to the latest disclosure from the National Center for Education Statistics.

Students enrolled at the private for-profit institution paid $19,125 this year, an increase of $1,152 from the $17,973 tuition charged in the 2021-22 academic year.

The entire undergraduate student body at the college consists of residents of Michigan.

Data indicates that 17% of full-time undergraduates who began their studies at Port Huron Cosmetology College in 2022-23 received some form of student financial aid. A total of five students were awarded grants or scholarships amounting to $24,134.

Among all undergraduate students, 17 received grants or scholarships totaling $64,228, while an additional 14 students borrowed $60,933 in federal student loans.

Undergraduate education costs have seen a significant increase over the past few decades. Data shows a 169% rise in the average total cost, including tuition, fees, room, and board, between 1980 and 2020.
